Drop-In Basketball

Our weekly outdoor drop-in basketball program has been a core offering of Hijabi Ballers since 2017, running seasonally across various outdoor courts in the GTA. Designed as a flexible, community-focused initiative, the program provides a welcoming open-air space for Muslim women and girls of all skill levels to consistently build fundamental basketball skills while enjoying the benefits of outdoor play. By bringing the community together in an outdoor setting, the program encourages confidence, movement, and connection, while fostering powerful relationships and a strong sense of sisterhood.

Ready To Rebound

Ready to Rebound is a specialized, free, non-competitive basketball program delivered in collaboration with the Muslim Womens Summer Basketball League (MWSBL) and offered in partnership with the Toronto Raptors, Sun Life, and the MLSE Foundation. Designed for racialized youth (ages 8-16) facing community barriers, the program uses basketball fundamentals to teach crucial life skills and resiliency. It provides a safe, organized environment where participants can build foundational basketball skills while simultaneously developing positive mental health practices and teamwork, fostering personal empowerment through sport.

Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP)

In Partnership with the Chill Foundation to bring an exciting, beginner-friendly Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP) program! This program offers a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for young Muslim girls to learn a new sport, build outdoor confidence, and connect through meaningful community activities. All equipment provided.

Rookie Skates

Rookie Skates is a ice skating and hockey program created for Muslim women and girls, offering a welcoming space to build confidence on the ice. Rooted in community and representation, the program breaks down barriers to participation in sport by centring safety, skill-building, and joy. Delivered in collaboration with The Neighbourhood Organization (TNO) and Muslimah Athletic Club.

F-Series: Female Functional Fitness

F-Series is a private, structured strength training program designed to teach foundational movement patterns that translate directly to enhanced health, everyday mobility, and long-term injury prevention. Open to women 18+ of all fitness levels—from absolute beginners to seasoned athletes—these closed-door sessions are led by certified Muslim female trainers who focus on core stability, physical safety, and expert technical cueing, concluding with a healthy snack bar to foster peer connection.

Kickin’ It Forward

Kickin' It Forward is a women's-only drop-in soccer program funded by the MLSE Foundation Community Action Grant. Running seasonaly for participants aged 13 and up, the program ensures high-quality instruction with a dedicated coach leading drills and games Beyond offering consistent, accessible playtime, the program actively promotes leadership development by providing participants with the opportunity to pursue official coaching certifications, empowering them to become future leaders and give back to their community.

Serve to Lead

A specialized beginner tennis and leadership development program designed for Muslim girls and women (ages 13+). Delivered in partnership with Midaynta Community Services and Philpott Children’s Tennis, this program combines fundamental on-court tennis instruction with pathways to future leadership, officiating, and coaching opportunities.Whether you have never held a racquet or are looking to refresh your basics, you’ll learn in a culturally safe, empowering, and female-led environment guided by Philpott-trained female coaches.

Rally Club

This is a completely beginner-friendly, casual Tennis & Pickleball drop-in program designed for women and girls who want to learn a new sport, break a sweat, and connect with a supportive community without any weekly commitment or pressure. Whether you’ve never held a racket before or you're looking to practice your serve, we hold space to play, learn, and improve at your own pace. Hosted in collaboration with Muslimah Athletic Club.

Try Rugby Days

Hosted in collaboration with Toronto Inner-City Rugby Foundation (TIRF) high-energy, beginner-friendly introduction to rugby! Whether you’ve never touched a rugby ball or you’re looking to get back on the pitch, our Try Rugby Days offer a safe, welcoming, and empowering environment specifically designed for women and girls of all ages.

Sunrise Run Club

Our Run Club is a beginner-friendly outdoor program designed for young children and their mothers, creating a welcoming space to build healthy habits together. Meeting at sunrise, sessions take place on a track so everyone stays connected and supported regardless of pace, whether walking, jogging, or running. By keeping the group together, the program fosters community, safety, and encouragement while helping children gain confidence in playing outdoors. Through playful movement, guided support, and consistent early-morning routines, participants develop comfort with outdoor activity, strengthen bonds, and enjoy an inclusive environment that prioritizes fun, confidence-building, and connection.

Wakeboarding

In Partnership with the Chill Foundation to bring a unique, high-energy summer water sports experience. This specialized program is designed to introduce our community to the thrilling world of wakeboarding in a culturally safe, supportive, and judgment-free sisterhood environment. Whether you have never stepped on a board or you are excited to test your balance, our expert instruction and encouraging group environment will help you build unshakeable outdoor confidence.
